This shower chair was purchased for my 17 year old paraplegic son. It is pretty good overall, but we have had to tighten up the brakes a few times. They seem to work themselves loose so that the chair will roll even when they are engaged. We also had to remove the footrests to make the chair easier to use in our bathroom. Because my son is quite small, we cannot use the chair as a toilet chair. If we take the center insert out of the seat, his leg falls trough. With that being said, it is really nice to use for his showers.
