Product Reviews of Oral-B Triumph 9900 Toothbrush with Smart GuideProduct Review: Just Buy it! No need to think about it. Summary: 5 Stars
This is my second Oral B toothbrush, my first lasted 3 years and is still going stong but the battery now last for about 8 days so decided to buy a new one. This model is far superior. I have had over two weeks use between charges... 2 mins, twice per day for more than two weeks.
This new model is far supirior to my early model I owned, I particularly like the fact that it recognises the tooth brush head you put on and automatically adjusts the cleaning mode accordingly. The battery charge display is very good too.
The "Gimic" wireless display is actually very good. My old toothbrush heads lasted 2 / 3 weeks because I was pressing the head too hard but didn't realise it. The display shows a red triangle when your pushing to hard... my tooth brush is 4 weeks old now and I will probably get another 4 weeks out of it.. maybe more. The two minute timer is good too... I now spend the 2 mins brushing my teeth!!! And yes, my teeth do feel cleaner than with the old model. Its also a useful clock in the bathroom.
The recharging unit holds 4 heads and is neat and compact. The travelcase is very good and secure and protects the unit perfectly. My old model used to go off in my luggage which could be very embarresing...ha! ha!!!
Would I buy this model again? Yes. Would I recommend it to a friend? Yes.
Some things in life you should just buy the best you can afford, I think this is one of those products. My teeth do feel clean.
Product Review: Keeps getting better and better Summary: 5 Stars
I've had the Oral-B Triumph for a while now; this newer and somewhat updated version I purchased as a gift. Love the wireless read-out and look forward to my partner's enjoying the increased cleaning power of his Triumph over an older version. Thanks, Braun.
Product Review: Keeps the Oral Hygenist @ Bay Summary: 5 Stars
Have had for over a year and highly recommend this product. As a point of reference I'm forty something and constantly had been chastised by various oral hygenist for not flossing enough (who hasn't) and threatned with deep tissue cleaning more than once if I didn't change my lazy ways. Tried getting by with a Water Pick, but it didn't cut the mustard. Since owning the Oral B have had two smooth teeth cleaning appointments, all gum pocket measurements have been in the acceptable range. As gimmicky as it is the little wireless display lets you know exactly how long you have been brushing and if you choose to pay attention to it causes you to brush for a consistant amount of time. After using your teeth feel just as smooth as they do after going for a cleaning, plus your mouth doesn't hurt when you go to the dentist for the cleaning becasue they don't need to poke and scape at your gums as intensively. Only concern I have is that they rechargable battery inside is not consumer serviceable. So at some point will have to by another. Note that this can easily be shared by muliple family members. Just have to buy multiple heads. Heads are a little pricey compared to manual tooth brushes. However, have found that when brushing once a day that the heads last much longer than the recommended three months. In any case cheaper than paying for deep gum cleaning.
Product Review: Limited life Summary: 1 Stars
After owning this toothbrush for a little over a year, it would not charge anymore. As stated before, you void the warranty when you try and take the battery out, which is ludicrous. What they are really doing is making sure you have can't fix it when it breaks. It's clear their rechargeable battery is faulty, and they know it. They don't want to sell you a replacement battery or even the handle. They want you to buy another $200 toothbrush. Don't buy this. I've owned Sonicare for years and years and years. They are cheaper, better and won't die on you. (Actually, I think I did have to throw one out after 10 years or so. We own three right now. We won this Oral B, and I won't buy another.)
Product Review: Love It Summary: 5 Stars
I love this toothbrush!! Previously I was using a Sonic Care, which I liked. However, my husband, who uses an electric Oral B, got a GLOWING report after not having been to the dentist in quite a while, so I switched. I liked that it tells me if I am brushing too hard (I get a little overly enthusiastic which is actually bad for your gums) and that the head is small enough to reach all around the very back teeth. It even tells you when to replace the heads, which are not expensive. The Triumph 9900 may cost a bit more, but I think it's worth it.
