Product Review: Gimmicky! Don't get a Triumph instead!

After four years, my Triumph finaly quit. Too many days in the shower and humidity built up inside. I purchased a Sonic as it's replacement, and find the Sonic to be a silly gimmic.
The sonic vibrates, almost as powerfully as my cell phone, that's all it does. When you brush with it, the pressure applied to the toothbrush is far far more powerful than the oscilation that takes place at the brush head. Only when applying a minimal amount of pressure do you get the vibration feeling at the end of the brush. I don't think this does anything that you can't do with a regular brush.
Aside from vibrating your hand slightly, and doing nothing for your teeth, the head comes off easily.
Don't buy this silly item.

I was using a battery operated Crest brush & wanted to stop buying batteries. I think this is the next step up if you are not sure you will like a sonic. It is sized small, will fit in the ceramic toothbrush holder with other regular brushes! I charge about every 10 days or so (says it lasts 2 wks & I have not run out before I recharge). Brushhead did seem to come off at 1st, but not now (I must have changed to a more proper position). I used on the low setting for about 1 wk to 10 days, now able to use the high. Only 2 minutes and I have the cleanest teeth, I do prefer toothpastes with baking soda and/or hydrogen peroxide & love some of the new Arm & Hammer. Colgate has a less intense baking soda toothpaste if you are not used to this type. Final review: THUMBS UP!!!

I've used this product for about two months now. When I first used it felt very strange. The vibrating was not pleasant, but I got use to it. I used to have bleeding gums, after using this and raising my mouth with water and salt the bleeding has stopped. Unlike the other electric toothbrush this one has no moving parts so you will still have to brush like you did with a regular toothbrush. All in all I like this product. Another plus the replacement heads aren't too expensive.Product Review: Great Little Package

I bought this because it was reasonably priced and had all the things i wanted:
slim design
various settings
30 second interval timers to tell me when to move
2 different brush head sizes
oral b brand name for some "insurance"
Had it for 4 months now and it has whitened my teeth beyond any whitener paste/ gel forms i've ever used. Love how clean my teeth feel. Battery lasts about 3 weeks after a good charge. easy to take on vacation without the base charger.
Love it! Definitely recommended.
