Product Reviews of Oral-B Advance Power 450TX Battery-Powered ToothbrushProduct Review: My favorite toothbrush Summary: 5 Stars
I love this toothbrush. It has lots of power and I definitely like that it runs on batteries (I hate tying up one of my bathroom outlets with a plug for a rechargeable).
Product Review: Nice and good value Summary: 4 Stars
Nice toothbrush that brushes well, and the timer is useful. However, as this is my third one, found out the life span is about a year or so. The mode of failure varies - one time just stopped working, o-ring failure and water infiltration, one time on/off button failed and unable to stop it!
Product Review: OK at best Summary: 3 Stars
This is a good electric toothbrush and great for travel as the 2 AA batteries last months. However, we've been through three of them in two years. Expect them to last about a year. As with other Braun toothbrushes, the brush tips are expensive and can be hard to find. Our local grocery chain discontinued all Braun/OralB toothbrushes and tips. The customer service people at both Walgreens and Eckerd tell me they just can't get their orders filled. This went on for the better part of 2003 and we finally picked some up during a trip to Europe.I switched from a rechargeable Braun as I got tired of the rechargeable batteries losing their ability to hold a charge after a couple of years. Even if the AA battery models only last a year they are a much cheaper both initially and over the long run. They do vibrate a bit more but clean just as well and I find the shape much easier to handle than the rechargeable models.
Product Review: Oral B Summary: 4 Stars
I have used the product before. The first one lasted nearly 4 years.
What is good about the product is that it reaches the back teeth.
It also has a 2 minute alarm.
Proper use of the product to make it last, Wash the toothbrush and clean the product barrel after every use.
The brushes are replaceable. I get mine at COSTCO. But everyone sells the replacement brushes.
Clean as well the brush protector. Note that the brush protector item does not come with new replacement brushes. Therefore keep that item clean as well.
I would assume that brushing one to three times daily wears out the batteries. For good use replace the batteries about every 90 days or sooner if the Oral B starts to slow.
I use rechargeable batteries in my Oral B.
Product Review: Oral B battery -powered toothbrush Summary: 5 Stars
Have bought several of these. Top notch product. You do not have to carry along charger if you travel. Super job of cleaning teeth.
Replacement heads are a little pricey.
