Although I ordered the model 7550, I received model 7400. From the Amazon opinion survey, I knew this was a very common complaint among buyers of this product, but I didn't heed their warnings. It was too late to return the items (I bought two) before Christmas so Amazon offered me a discount for the mistake. I took the discount, then found the model 7400 two days later at a cheaper price in the local Bed, Bath & Beyond. In the end, I paid shipping charges to receive the wrong product at a rotten price. Beware.
Description of Oral B 7550 Professional Care Power Toothbrush
Brush away twice the plaque with Braun's powerful Oral-B PC 7400 Power rechargeable toothbrush. Clinically proven to help prevent gum disease and tartar build-up, toothbrush is gentle on teeth and gums. Power lasts 12 days between charges and provides up to 40,000 pulsations per minute. Includes 1 Flexisoft brushhead, 1 DualAction brushhead and hygienic brushhead storage.Small and round for maneuverability inside the mouth, the brush heads on this electric toothbrush pulsate in and out while also rapidly oscillating to scrub away plaque from between teeth and along gum lines better than ordinary toothbrushes. Two sets of extra-long bristles on the brush heads' sides clean deep between teeth, and soft, rounded middle bristles do their work gently and safely without the need for firm pressing. A sensor automatically stops the high-speed pulsations if too much pressure is being applied. After two minutes, a pulsing signal indicates that you've reached the recommended brushing time, which encourages children to continue brushing until the signal. This model comes with a recharging stand that has a brush head storage compartment and three brush heads with removable color-coded rings; place the stand on the counter or mount it on the wall (screws are included).
