I've tried some other protein shakes for my workouts and they don't get any better than the taste of ON's line. Most have a bland taste but ON 100% Whey Gold Standard Natural Chocolate has a sweet taste that many, including myself, can relate to Ovaltine or other chocolate drink. It's 100% natural so it'll be easier on your kidneys than those other brands and it comes at a great price! This seems like one of the best whey protein powders on the market because of its high whey protein isolate content - hardly any filler that cheaper whey protein brands use. The taste is good with milk but leaves a little to be desired with water. I use this with the Black 28 Oz. Blender Bottle W/wire Shaker Ball system and it works great for an easy shake/meal in less than a minute. Also works good with frozen fruits and ice in a blender. I have been using ON's HydroWhey for a couple of years, and switched to the Natural to get away from the artificial flavor and sweetener. I bought the chocolate, strawberry and the vanilla. The natural flavors all have similar qualities as follows: they all hit you with a wonderful fragrance when the lid is opened. The flavors are milder, but quite acceptable; perhaps not as creamy tasting as the HydroWhey version, but pleasent just the same. They all mix quickly. I think the vanilla is the best flavor translation, but I am not disappointed with the chocolate or the strawberry either. I use this stuff a couple of times a day to get the protein I need. I mix in water, not milk,so the flavors are a little watery tasting, but still palatable. I will be buying ON's Natural Whey for a looong time to come!
