I DO NOT recommend purchasing this can opener. I purchased this item in Jul-11 and after about 3 weeks of use, a can jammed in the item and could not be removed. After forcing the can's removal, the can opener no longer worked. Maybe this is not normal or usual, BUT I felt it necessary to give my opinion to prevent this from happening to another consumer!!!!
