Product Reviews of Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer with Health Management SoftwareProduct Review: Amazing Pedometer! Summary: 5 Stars
This is absolutely the BEST pedometer I have ever owned! And, this purchase was the second one of these I have had. The first one stopped when it went through the washing machine. But, surprisingly, it only needed a new battery and continued working!
This pedometer has everything - steps, aerobic steps, calories, distance and time of day. It is thin and easy to carry. The software is decent also.
Product Review: Amazing! Summary: 5 Stars
Having recently starting a new health regimen including walking, I grew tired of my old pedometer (a cheap unit that I picked up at a sporting goods store for $10) and wanted something easier to set, as well as be able to notate progress. I had heard about a pedometer that had a USB port and set out to find it----the Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer! As a test, I calibrated it against my old pedometer and a GPS unit and found it to be on par with my GPS unit. This unit smokes my old pedometer. The accompanying software is great for tracking your progress. I now vary my treks without worrying about whether my distance or steps will be accurate. If they ever build a pedometer with a GPS, I'll buy it in a heartbeat.
Product Review: An accurate device for walkers Summary: 5 Stars
I am 63 years old and find that the old body doesn't work as well as it used to, especially the joints. I tried jogging as part of my training for a 5K event. I developed a pinched nerve in my neck from the pounding and acting upon the doctor's advice, I had to stop. He did recommended walking as safer form of exercise and cardio. Fast walking can be very good and does not carry the hazard of all the pounding. I wanted a device that would allow me to monitor my walking as well as my blood pressure. To track all of that in graphic form, I wanted a device that would save the data and download it to my PC. So I bought this pedometer and an Omron Blood Pressure monitor, and I am extremely glad I did. I have used my car to travel the routes that I walk and find this device to be both accurate and consistent in tracking the mileage. I couldn't be more pleased with its accuracy and with the printable output from my PC using free supporting software. It is money well spent.
Product Review: An excellent motivator Summary: 5 Stars
This little guy is both accurate and easy to use. I wish I knew how it worked. It doesn't seem to care whether I carry it in a pants pocket, in a shirt pocket, or on a belt clip... the results are all the same. Throw it in a pocket, walk around at work for a day, and surprise yourself how many steps you put in without working up a sweat. Get outside for an hour's walk at lunch, and you'll be pushing 10,000 steps a day!
Product Review: An excellent pedometer Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using a pedometer for about a year and have had about five! The last one, from Wal Mart for $5, told me I had done 5,000 steps during grocery shopping. I wanted something reliable and finally gave up on the cheapies and went with Omron.
I have had an Omron blood pressure monitor for fourteen years and it still looks and works like the day I bought it so I knew that Omron was a quality product.
The pedometer doesn't dissapoint. It doesn't just track your steps... it keeps track of the steps you make each hour so you can see patterns. It also calculates the steps and time you spend aerobic walking. Best of all, if you don't want to wear it on your belt, it works just great in your pocket.
The software is easy-to-use and very informative.
This may be a lot more expensive than the pedometers at Wal-Mart but it's well worth the money.
