Product Reviews of Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer with Advanced Omron Health Management SoftwareProduct Review: Does what it is supposed to do and is easy to use. Summary: 5 StarsThis is about as handy as it comes. Logs steps from past days. Downloads data to a computer. Stick it in your pocket, and it doesn't matter whether it's upside down. What more could you want?
Product Review: A good product Summary: 4 StarsI really like this pedometer. The software that comes with it is very useful and I like how it charts my activity. I also like that the pedometer itself allows you to go back several days to see your progress. Overall, good product.
Product Review: Frequent walker enjoys pedometer Summary: 5 StarsI had owned several pedometers, but didn't like the way they worked, and didn't use them often. On a friend's recommendation, I bought the Omron, and have really enjoyed it. I put it into my pocket each day, and don't like to take it off until I am certain I'm finished with the day's walking. It is easy to use, and the software is impressive! I'm sure it provides good incentive to keep walking.Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer with Advanced Omron Health Management Software
Product Review: Works great! Summary: 5 StarsI purchased TWO of these - - one for myself and one for my husband. They are accurate in terms of actual walking distance. The only feature I haven't tried yet is the software to keep track of miles, etc. on the computer.
Product Review: Grab it and go for a long walk! Summary: 5 StarsI am so glad that I found this product! As a previous purchaser of various pedometers, I've found this to be the best! I've lost the other ones within days after clipping them to my belt, so I've that this works well when I carry it upright in my jeans' pocket. I bought this pedometer in late October 2008, and it's actually encouraging me to walk every day.
Hey, I thought 'How hard can it be to walk 10,000 steps? I'm sure that I do that anyway.' Well cher, let me tell you...I was taking about 3,000 steps on a good day. One drawback that is mentioned in the manual is that when you're walking up and down stairs (which I do a lot of at my job) or doing any other vigorous up and down motions (mind out of the gutter!), it won't count as a step. But, that's just a minor nuisance. I've walked almost every day that I've had this, and so far, I've lost about 18 pounds in two months! That's without changing my eating habits (hey, I'm in New Orleans...you know I've gotta have the Deanie's and Don's fried seafood platters, juicy grilled steaks and the crawfish etoufee!). Now, if I could only get the hang of that 'in moderation' thing....:)
An added bonus is the included software. It's quick and easy to track how often you've waled in during the day, week, month and year once you install the software. After that, you just plug the usb cable into the pedometer and computer, follow the directions, and your totals are downloaded within a minute. I download my data every Sat. night to make sure that I don't lose any of the stored days (memory only holds for 7 days).
