Product Reviews of Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer with Advanced Omron Health Management SoftwareProduct Review: Very accurate Summary: 5 StarsI have counted steps and then checked and it is always within one step. I am now at 10,000 steps a day!
Product Review: 2nd one after 1.5 yr Summary: 4 StarsThis is my second Omron pedo as my first one started missing a LOT of steps and didn't record thousands of steps as aerobic steps after just 1.5 years. I got so annoyed and since it was no longer under warranty, I bought a second one because it generally is a good pedo altho I have not owned another brand. I really like the fact that I can download the data to my PC. On the whole, it works well altho doesn't capture 100% of one's steps. For now, my 2nd one is doing a great job.
Product Review: Best One Yet Summary: 5 StarsGreat Ped for the price. I have purchased several over the years, however, none have met my needs like this ped. I do Jazzercise 3-4 times a week, walk 2-3 days a week and I love keeping up with my miles and calories burned through aerobic walking and just plain old walking about the day. Plugging it up to my PC, and watching my progress is informative and makes me set better goals for myself. Good Job.
Product Review: Awesome product Summary: 4 StarsThis is an awesome product. I love the fact that it doesn't have to be on your hip to count your steps. I also enjoy that the program keeps a running total for you and you don't need to plug the unit in each day to upload the data. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 rating is because it is a little on the large size. I wear it on my hip for the most part and have had it fall off a few times.
Product Review: Great every day! Summary: 5 StarsMy husband and I use these every day! I love that they just slip in a pocket (I usually put it in my pants front pocket, but have also put it in a coat front pocket with good results). I have never tried my purse, so I can't speak to the accuracy.
In tests around the house and neighborhood it seems very accurate. I run with it regularly (outside and on the treadmill) and it routinely gets the mileage nearly correct. Keep in mind, it's not meant to track your distance exactly because YOU tell it how big your steps are. But if you measure your stride correctly, it's a very good guage.
Setup is easy with good directions.
Ours are only a few months old, but friends who have had them for a while say the battery runs out promptly at 6 months. Have an extra on-hand so you don't miss a day!
The download feature and software are GREAT.
PROS over other pedometers are:
* in pocket (not dork-clipped to your belt)
* resets at midnight to a new day - you don't have to remember to reset it every day
* step management software tracks your steps, allows you to set goals and has an export function if you want to use the data in a different way.
OVERALL A+. We love them!
