Product Reviews of Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket PedometerProduct Review: A best buy for walkers.. Summary: 5 Stars
After having dozens of pedometers which got lost or just plain didn't work, it is a joy to have one that does what it is supposed to do and more. It is accurate, easy to operate and stays put with the safety clip.
As usual, the Amazon service was fast and accurate and the price was right. Including the shipping, the pedometer cost less than others I purchased at locals stores....and works better.
Product Review: A discreet pedometer that works Summary: 5 Stars
I've tried several pedometers over the years and many have annoying clicks, which is not what I want when walking around at work. Or if they don't click, they don't really work. This pedometer really works and is totally silent. You can throw it in a pocket or a purse, just as the instructions say and it still works.
This pedometer's strength is longer walks and bouts of exercise. Short trips around the house don't register well.
I've had mine for nearly 3 years and other than wearing through 3 leashes (the one weak point), it has flawlessly performed. So order extra leashes and this pedometer.
Product Review: A fine gadget, even if I don't really get it Summary: 4 Stars
I have to fess up...I don't use even half the functions on this pedometer. I bought it (over other items) because it was cheaply and conviently packaged with the YOU: On a Diet book.
I will say that I wanted something I wouldn't have to monkey with and this meets that requirement. I popped in the battery, set the time and date (easy as setting any digital watch with just one consultation of the instruction book) and started counting my steps that day.
I have not had any trouble with it and it's pretty intuitive to operate. I easily discovered on my own how to switch days and check walking steps/ aerobic steps.
Overall I'm really happy but probably don't need all the bells and whistles.
Product Review: A first-class pedometer Summary: 5 Stars
After trying to use two other pedometers which my wife and I found to be completely variable when comparing identical walks we purchased two Omron HJ112 pedometers and to our delight they proved to be just what we wanted. On our daily 30 min.,walk we often find that our number of steps are virtually the same. Other features we particularly like are the ability to hang the unit in ones pocket instead of clipping it to the belt and also to measure the aerobic steps separately from total steps. We both find these units to be reliable and they give us confidence that our daily exercise level is on target. They have our highest recommendation.
Product Review: A good accurate and sensitive pedometer Summary: 4 Stars
This is a fine instrument for those who want to count all of their steps. Whether determined strides across city blocks or mini steps along grocery store aisles. I just want to approximate how much "active leg time" I put in on any given day. I have had cheaper pedometers that refused to register anything less than a jarring pounce from jogging or power walking. That can be frustrating at the end of a day when you know you put in more than 1.4 miles active upright time. The automatic return to zero at midnight is also handy. You can scroll back through 7 days to view previous counts. my only complaint so far is that the display screen can quickly become dull and marred from rubbing against zippers, buttons and other clothing when you wear it on your belt under a coat or jacket.
