Product Reviews of Omron HJ-105 Pedometer with Calorie CounterProduct Review: Excellent for daily use Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using a pedometer for years, counting steps daily. This unit has a cover, so you don't accidentally reset it while doing housework! It is easy to program for a relatively accurate count.
Product Review: Excellent meter Summary: 5 Stars
I love this meter. I've never had a problem with accuracy. It took very little time to set up and even though I accidently dropped it once it didn't break or malfunction. The clip is holding up and easy to use. I must say to all those who experience a dumb moment like I did when measuring accuracy. You have to walk the steps with meter box closed and also mid-setting on sensitivity seems to be the most accurate at least for me.Omron HJ-105 Pedometer with Calorie Counter
Product Review: Excellent value Summary: 5 Stars
For the money, this is an excellent pedometer. Very reliable, with basic functions and some added features as well. 5-day memory comes in handy. Counts very well.
Product Review: Excellent, inexpensive pedometer Summary: 5 Stars
After having three $20 Sportline pedometers break on me (in various ways) in less than two weeks each, I found the Omron in a Kaiser Permanente pharmacy (for more than Amazon charges). After a month, I'm delighted with it. For one thing, it hasn't broken. It measures steps, aerobic steps, distance traveled, and calories burned. There's a + and - adjustment that lets you fine-tune the sensitivity. It resets itself to zero at midnight, and keeps a 7-day memory of all your data. I consider it well worth the money.
Product Review: Fits well and can adjust sensitivity Summary: 4 Stars
My favourite pedometer so far after trying six or seven others. Its best feature that is missing from many other pedometers is the ability to adjust its sensitivity to movement. It also securely clicks shut to prevent buttons being pressed inadvertently and doesn't come open too easily like some other pedometers with covers. Some other pedometers reset too easily when they are bumped which is not a problem with this one. It is quite small so is comfortable to wear and not as prone to getting bumped.
It is a problem when it does get bumped however as it doesn't clip onto the belt as well as some others. I've lost two within a few months this way when travelling because I didn't feel it getting knocked off. It also a problem when it gets bumped off the horizontal in which case it won't read properly. In summary, as long as it doesn't get bumped, it is very good.
