Product Reviews of Omron HIP PedometerProduct Review: great pedometer Summary: 5 StarsI bought 2 of these, 1 for my husband and 1 for me. I love this pedometer. The 7 day tracker is a good feature to have so you can view your progress through out the week. I also like that you can't "cheat" by shaking the pedometer, somehow it can tell when you are actually walking and when it is being shaken. I recommend this to anyone looking to count their steps...remember, it is recommended that we take 10,000 steps each day to MAINTAIN your current weight, to lose weight you will have to increase the amount of steps you take each day.
Product Review: Loved mine, so bought another for my mom. Summary: 5 StarsI had initially bought a cheap pedometed from Target and it clicked with every step, which drove me crazy. So I decided to splurge a little and bought this Omron. No clicks and the features are great. I like it so much that when my mom requested a pedometer for Christmas, I didn't think twice about buying another.
Product Review: Excellent Purchase Summary: 4 StarsVery compact and easy to read. It arrived on time and was easy to setup, which is better than others, I just needed to enter my height and weight. It is very accurate, I use it all the time. Only draw back is the clip doesn't always stay on my belt, but in the pocket it is just fine.
Product Review: Easy to program, good and accurate Summary: 4 StarsThis Ormon pedometer is sooo much better than a Sportline pedometer. I like the ease of programming the settings, the quick look-up and access to the buttons, and that it resets after midnight.
I like the way it keeps the data for a week, so I can compare my days. It is quite an incentive to keep walking!
Product Review: Works great Summary: 5 StarsI bought four of these: for my best friend, my grandfather, my husband, and me. So far, they all work great.
It's easy to use, I love the fact that it keeps track of 7 days worth of steps, and that it calculates moderate steps, distance, and calories.
We all wear it every day and it provides an extra incentive to move more... my husband and I compare our steps at the end of each day, which provides a little bit of healthy competition. 10,000 steps a day is the national recommendation, and on days that I exercise, I easily reach the 10,000 (e.g., 1h Zumba, a long brisk walk, spinning class)... on regular office days it's more challenging. But accruing steps is one more reason to take the time to go out for a lunch-break walk or do some activity at home.
