Although pretty durable, I found this device to be awkward to use. I think the user set up could be a little more user friendly. We purchased this item based on a high recommendation from our cardiologist office, because it is highly rated for accuracy by CONSUMER REPORT. The daily readings on this particular model seem to be somewhat high for both my husband and myself. We do not want to send it back to be re calibrated.
When we checked the numbers at our internist office, our device was somewhat higher.... So we do not know which device has a correct reading.
Therefore, we can give this model only an average mark.

I recently purchased this monitor. So far I am well impressed with it. I like the averaging feature where three readings are recorded at one minute intervals. I can say that so far the readings appear to be very accurate. I have compared the averaged readings with a sphygmometer mercury column monitor using a stethoscope and the comparative readings are very close.
