Omron Hem 711 AC is a really good instrument with really easy to follow instructions, accurate results and portability.
The only downside is: It requires duracells and the cuff would not inflate if any other ordinary batteries are used.

The Omron HEM-711AC Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor with IntelliSense was recommended to me by my internist for its easy readability. Until recently, I had never had high blood pressure so taking my pressure on a regular basis was not something I was used to. This machine has made it so easy to do and the results are immediate and easy to read and understand. The monitor has an one-touch operation and provides your systolic, diastolic and pulse readings. The arm cuff fits closely around the arm and is easy to apply. I definitely recommend this product if one needs to monitor his/her blood pressure.

I purchased in 2007 since 18 year old son was showing pre-hypertension...His numbers were extremely high with monitor...brought to his doctor, and he said machine was off, but I didn't take further action since he went off to school..we stashed away until recently 2010..I took my bp two days ago, and numbers were so high - I went to dr. for recheck. All was normal since I take medication, and monitor was way off...how many times have people written this same story... So, now I realize I had a lemon from start and need to return, hoping there will be few problems with return.Product Review: Doctor Approved

Recently my Doctor asked that I monitor my blood pressure on a regular basis. We purchased this monitor then checked the readings with the 2 machines at the Dr.'s office. The readings were a perfect match on all three! This is this first "Home" monitor that has matched the Dr.'s out of three we have had in the past. Best we have ever found!Product Review: Does the job

Seems to work ok. Once in a while it reads a little high because I have my wife check my blood pressure with her manual cuff within 5 to 10 minutes and it's a lot closer to what I'd expect it to be.
