In my case it reads 20 below on both numbers. So if I get a reading of 117/68,Then I add 20 to both for a blood pressure of 137/88. This makes it close to my doctor's reading. My Doctor told me upper arm readings are more accurate. He also said it is best to take your blood pressure sitting up straight with both feet flat on floor.Product Review: I love it and I wish the clinics would go to a wrist monitor!!

I have had mine for over a year and I love it. The readings are pretty accurate and when my blood pressure began to rise recently, I monitored my blood pressure for several hours. It was climbing higher and it was enough to finally convince me to seek medical attention. It also showed that one of the meds my cardiologist gave me to bring my blood pressure down had a negative impact on my blood pressure as it caused me pressure to drop down to 90 over 45! I was able to relay this information to my doctor and he adjusted my meds as a result of this. Had I not had this blood pressure monitor to check my blood pressure, I would not have known what was wrong or what to tell my doctor.
My daughter thinks she should have one of these for her family.
Also .... I dislike the arm Blood Pressure cuffs as they are quite painful for me and the wrist cuff is not painful at all. I wish the clinics and hospitals would use a wrist cuff!!
I highly recommend this product!!! It is worth evey penny!!

I tried this unit, Its amazing, Actualy, I was visiting a friend, when suddenly i felt im sick , so he has this unit, he sujested to check my BP , i was surprised to see my blood presure was 190/116 !!!!!! yes it was, i rushed to a hospital, and the reading there was exactly as this unit. i start treatment from there. i think this unit is so great and accurate.Product Review: Important Missing Feature

This is a good unit for monitoring blood pressure. Purchasers should know ahead that measuring blood pressure with a wrist style monitor is sensitive to arm position. The Intellisense system verifies your arm position before it takes a measurement, making it more consistent than units that do not. (Missing Feature) I lowered the rating to 3 stars because the unit is equipped with an interface port, which if you purchase the unit in Europe or Asia it also comes with software (missing in USA) and a cable (missing in USA) that allows you to download the data to your pc and share with the doctor. Omron refuses to support this feature in the USA (hence my aggravation)
