Product Review: Great Blood Presure Meter

The OMRON HEM-637 is simlpe to use. It is full featured. This is my fourth OMRON HEM-637. I bought my first one in May of 2007. I have use a Sunbean Cuff blood presure meter for 17 years.
My doctor warned me against using a wrist unit. I compared readings for 6 months. The were very close.
I know you are thinking, this guy is NUTS, FOUR UNITS!
I am in advanced KIDNEY failure. My blood presure is LIFE OF DEATH FOR ME!
So I take my blood preasure 4 to 5 times a day. Rather then carry one around with me and risk damage, I keep one in four convient places,

My husband and I bought one of these almost 2 years ago after he had some health-related issues. It worked so well that when my 86 year old Father needed to replace his standard BP monitoring kit (inflatable cuff/stethoscope)we purchased this for him.
We have had both units checked by doctors - they are accurate.
The unit is extremely easy to use. I really like that it won't function unless it is level with your heart.
All in all - I would rate this product A+

Being a nurse on a busy medical, surgical, telemetry floor this works so well to get a quick BP or heart rate before giving certain medications. It is as accurate as the very expensive electronic BP monitors on the floor that are always so hard to find. I carry this in my pocket when I make my medication rounds. The unit is as easy to use as promised. I verified it's accuracy at my doctor's office using the usual cuff. She made one change in the directions for getting an accurate measurement. Rather than bending the arm up against myself to get the unit to heart level, she said prop my arm out before me, and up a little bit if necessary, to achieve heart level with out undue muscular compression of the arm and possibly affecting accurate measurement. Actually, it's been kind of fun to use like a kid getting a magnifying class or chemistry set!Product Review: Its my Second

This is the second one I bought, its the best. I gave the first one to my mother which I had bought almost 5 years ago.
I did a lot of research to find out what has come out in the last five years which would be better. And this is still the best out there. That says it all.
