Though I don't own this unit, I was interested in the comments about the lack of software and an interface cable. I found the European version mentioned by another reviewer, but at Weston's, the British health equipment store, the Omron 637 with USB cable and software sold for US$243.36 (plus shipping). That's quite a premium for a cable and some software! I think pad and paper might work just as well.Product Review: Great Blood Presure Meter

The OMRON HEM-637 is simlpe to use. It is full featured. This is my fourth OMRON HEM-637. I bought my first one in May of 2007. I have use a Sunbean Cuff blood presure meter for 17 years.
My doctor warned me against using a wrist unit. I compared readings for 6 months. The were very close.
I know you are thinking, this guy is NUTS, FOUR UNITS!
I am in advanced KIDNEY failure. My blood presure is LIFE OF DEATH FOR ME!
So I take my blood preasure 4 to 5 times a day. Rather then carry one around with me and risk damage, I keep one in four convient places,

Several months ago, I was advised by my physician to take my BP twice a day. After doing some research, I purchased the Omron HEM 637 after researching the product in several places including Consumer Reports. I have found it to be very accurate when compared with readings that I have received at my doctor's office and by arm cuff readings taken by my wife, an RN with more than 20 years experience. For those who have difficulty following directions EXACTLY, this might not be for you. If you can, it's convenience is hard to beat.Product Review: Great Product.

I had a few of these bought before, and this particular wrist blood pressure monitor works great. and it has a useful automatic system that helps you to place your wrist in the right position by your heart for high accuracy. for the price i paid it is a steal ($39.99).
