Customer Review: A Good Tool to Have When Trying to Lose the Fat

Losing weight is simple. For example, chop off your leg and you'll have lost a lot of weight. But obviously that's not what most folks have in mind when they say they want to lose some weight. We're actually talking about getting rid of all that fat.
Unfortunately, just stepping on the scale every morning won't let you know if you're losing the fat or losing lean body mass (muscle and what not). That's where this really simple to use gadget can come into play.
It's really easy to set up and only takes a few seconds in order to get a body fat percentage reading.
The next question is "How accurate is the reading?"
The honest truth is the body fat impedance measurements can vary a lot depending on the time of day you take the measurement and how hydrated you are at the time. It's no different with this device.
The trick is to follow the directions carefully. Most importantly, make sure you use the device at the same time every day. My advice, first thing in the morning right after you wake up. (I have mine sitting in the bathroom.)
Even following the directions to a "T", you will see a fair amount of body fat fluctuations from day to day. The key is to look at the overall trend over a period of weeks.
Keep a daily journal of your weight and body fat percentage readings. If you are dieting and exercising properly, you will see the body fat percentage readings trend downwards as the weeks go by.
For example: Let's say you start out at 19.5% body fat. Over the first week you might get daily readings anywhere between 19.0% and 20.0%. But then one day you'll wake up and "low and behold" you'll get an 18.9% reading. And then, after a few more days, you might not even see a body fat reading in the 19% to 20% range. This let's you know your moving in the right direction.
After all, Body Fat Measurements are only estimations. No matter which method you use, no matter how much you pay, you're only going to get an estimation.
