I really hate bug sprays, but mosquitoes love me, so I had really high hopes for this product. Unfortunately, after using the off fan several times, it was clear that it is about as useful for repelling mosquitoes as not wearing bug spray. Disappointing!

My boyfriend and I took this clip-on along with us on a camping trip in Michigan. Our campsite was in between a pond and the river, which naturally attracts a lot of mosquitos. I got bit by one and remembered that we had packed this thing. I clipped it onto my folding chair where I sat for the next several hours without even seeing another mosquito. No more bites the entire night. Also, I forgot to shut off the fan during the night and woke up in the morning with the refill still almost full. Can't really find anything to complain about.

It is interesting to read the other reviews and note the vast differences of opinion. Had I not already purchased three (3) of these clip-ons, I might have had second thoughts myself.

My husband has always been able to work outside on our very small farm; however, I had to stay in or spray myself with enough DEET to be almost ill. Even with the sprays (and other types of products), any time outside meant the mosquitoes would find a spot or two to bite; these bites would bring about large red welts and days of tremendous itching (even with meds)!

Last year when I purchased my first OFF clip-on I was skeptical, but it was absolutely amazing. I could sit in the swing on our deck, even at dusk, and enjoy the sights, smells, and sounds of the coming evening. I was able to enjoy visits with friends while sitting on our porch instead of always having to stay indoors. No sprays needed and no bites! We've been married more than 40 years, and to the best of our memory, last year was the first year ever that I did not receive any mosquito bites.

Now I have an Off clip-on at every door of our home so no matter when I go outside, I am ready. One reviewer stated that if these stayed on the market he would be surprised. On the other hand, I would be greatly disappointed that such a wonderful product would be no more.
