Product Reviews of Odwalla Nourishing Food Bar, Super Protein, 2.2-Ounce Bars in 12-Count Boxes (Pack of 2)Product Review: If you need a protein bar, look no further Summary: 5 Stars
I am a post gastric bypass patient. I must get 60 grams of protein into my body every day or I run the risk of malnutrition. For the past two years, every morning, with my coffee, I would have a "Blueberry Crisp Clif Bar". Amazon stopped carrying them and I did not care for the Clif Bar Variety Pack that Costco sells. So, searching Amazon's Website, I stumbled across the Odwalla "Super Protein" bar. I was already a fan of Odwalla's Berries GoMega Bars and Banana Nut crunch bars but they only have like 4 or 5 grams of protein. This has 16 grams of protein, which, in my humble opinion, is great. I eat one EVERY morning with my coffee and while I cannot say they are "delicious" I can confidently say that for 16 grams of protein I've not found a bar that tastes anywhere near as good as this one. I will add, I think it's critical to have it with coffee or tea as it might be a little dry or chalky straight. I am very happy to have stumbled across these and am an active participant in Amazon's Subscribe and Save program with this item. Now please, Amazon, do NOT discontinue this product like you did with the Blueberry Crisp Clif Bar!
Product Review: Mmmm mmm good! Summary: 4 Stars
These are my favorite of the Odwalla bars. They can be a bit dry, but with a bottle of water to wash them down, they're great. I like to use them as a snack between meals. Gotta love all that soy protein!
Product Review: Not as good as their others Summary: 3 Stars
Speaking for my taste buds alone, I didn't like these as much as their other bars. I've only had these, the Banana Nut (my Favorite thus far), and Superfood. This one tastes like a typical nutrition bar - almost saw-dust like but it isn't that bad, it's just not delicious. I have 2 boxes that I still need to go through and I will, I just won't be as excited as I would if they were the Banana Nut one.
I recommend you buy one first (at the high price that they are) in the store and then make your decision. The Pro for this is the protein you get per bar.
Product Review: This price is outrageous! Summary: 2 Stars
I've been buying the 2-pack for more than a year from Amazon for a price of less than $24. For Greencupboards to be selling them at nearly $54 is outrageous! It's cheaper to buy them individually at the grocery store. Good bars - but don't buy from Greencupboards unless you actually enjoy being price-gouged.
Product Review: love them! Summary: 5 Stars
These remind me of an oatmeal cookie. The taste is fantastic, I can't find any other bar with 16 grams of protein that actually tastes like real food. I eat one every day for breakfast with a piece of fruit - great for someone who doesn't have time to cook in the morning.
