Product Review: Re-consider before buying

I spent $200 on this watch (got the full value kit w/4 sensors). In a nutshell, if your cycles are regular, this product is a waste of money. I used it as a diagnostic to check whether my body follows the pattern it's supposed to, because it has been almost a year since I started trying for a baby. The watch compiles data at midnight, so if your fertile window starts Monday at 2 am, the watch will show the first fertile day as late as Tuesday after midnight so by the time you can act upon it, you have just missed almost two days and it's Wednesday morning! One day I woke up, observed my body, and concluded that I have just started my fertile window. The watch agreed with my own observation, and did show fertile day one that night (12 hours after my own visual test), but it was past midnight already and I was fast asleep. Second, after it detects the fertile perid start, it goes on an automatic mode for another 8 days (fertile days 1-4, ov day 1, ov day 2, less fertile day 1 and 2) - so whether you wear it or not, it's just asking you to ttc for basically a third of your cycle, no matter how soon you really ovulate - so pretty much if you tried to concieve for eight days somewhere around a week after your period is done, you can get pregnant without this expensive product. Finally, the watch asks for so much info about your cycle on start up that it almost seems like it can calculate the probable fertile week without any fancy sensors. I did not have any technical issues, everything worked great, I ran a sensor test about a minute after putting the watch on. All in all, good for women whose cycles are all over the place or just have no physical signs or no skill to detect their own ovulation, but if you are in tune with your body, this watch is just an expensive gadget that does not do any more but remind you what they you are on. This is my second month using the watch and so far I like it. It doesn't bother me wearing it at night at all. I put it on before bed and take it off in the morning. I haven't had trouble with the sensors at all. (it's best to put it on around 9 pm since it gives it's readings at midnight) the instructions say put it on at least 2 hrs. before midnight to get an accurate reading.
I would recommend putting the watch on and then leaving it on for about 10-20 mins before running the sensor test if you are having a problem with the sensor registering. So far I like this much better than the Clearblue Fertility Monitor.

This watch is going to make TTC much easier! My husband and I have been trying for about 3 yrs. I've always had problems with the pee sticks showing a positive. I was convinced that I wasn't ovulatng. Then on day 13 of wearing this watch it said "fertile day 1" I was so excited! We will see if we are pregnant in about 2 weeks, but I do feel hopefull with this watch. The only complaint is the size of the watch band... It's a little small, but you can call the company to get a longer strap.Product Review: This Is Way Easier Than Any Other Method!

This is my second month of using this watch.
I am not pregnant yet, but it has shown me at age 43 that I am still ovulating.
The first month I continued to BBT & do my saliva ferning tests. It was just as accurate as those methods, but it gave me 3 more days advance notice.
I was using clomid and had an IUI on Fertile Day 4.
Had some issues with drying, but soaking the sensors in a light pool of water resolved that.
The great thing is that after you get Fertile Day 1 - you do not need to wear the watch any more.
Another good thing is that clomid altered the look of my period, and it was the OV watch that helped me prepare for TTCing this month, by predicting that ovulation was about to occur, even when my blood work on CD1 showed that I might not have finished the last cycle.
If we do not concieve this month, I am going to through out my thermometer, and just stick with this.

I was so happy when I first got the ov watch and it showed my first fertile day. There are four fertile days total. We used it for 2 months and I just had a positive pregnancy test! I had tried the ovulation pee test sticks. They were messy and never showed ovulation once in two months. This is so much better, less work, and much more effective.
