I haven't had much experience with electric shavers--but from my short 5 week relationship with my Norelco 4601X shaver--I can tell you this item is a REAL winner. It's quiet, holds a good charge (just remember to follow the directions--and initially charge the battery for 24 hours--before your FIRST use)-- It's quick, does an excellent job (and YES, IS close as a blade--just give your skin/hair a week or two to get used to a rotary electric shaver)...and is extremely affordable. It's well made--is sturdy, and is a very high quality product; a very good introduction to the world of shaving with a rotary electric razor. Don't waste your money on any other brands!
