I bought this after reading all the reviews. My daughter with full, long, thick hair picked up lice from somewhere. My wife thought we would have to cut her hair off, but I told her to let me try this first. We started with a good flea comb (worked good on lice, but not nits) while waiting for this to arrive in the mail. When it came she washed her hair and used conditioner to make it smooth, brushed the hair and used the NFT with the hair still damp. It was amazing what it pulled out. We did this 2 days in a row and followed with lice shampoo, and a week later when it was time to re-apply the shampoo there was nothing in her hair. We did the shampoo to be safe and a month later there has been no sign of return. The only down side is that her little brother has short hair and it really hurt his head to use the comb. I couldn't find a way to make it not hurt his head. I paid for next day air shipment and am not regretting the extra cost. It is worth any price you pay.
