Product Review: Really Works!
Summary: 4 Stars

i was really skeptical to try these out. Ive been a smoker for almost a decade and tried to quit smoking a few times cold turkey over the past couple years. i was one of those that if i couldnt find my cigarettes or couldnt find a light i would have tantrums almost. a few of my family members have used chantix and they quit smoking but complained of harsh side effects like wicked dreams, high heart rates, etc but they did quit.

i thought i would try these as they are much cheaper than chantix (if you dont have insurance) and seem more stimulating than the patch. i have now been smoke free for 6 days, i know that doesnt seem like a lot to most people but us smokers know the pain its taken to even get this far even with a nicotine aid.

i bought the 4mg and have been breaking them in half and sometimes even quarter pieces when i just need to take the edge off. i do not plan to use these for 12 weeks as recommended. i have read in quite a few of these reviews that people have have quit smoking but are now addicted to these things! i fear that, so i since the beginning of my quit date i have been working on breaking the rituals. i am now waiting an hour + before taking a lozenge when i wake up, i curb wanting one every time im in the car, i avoid drinking altogether and i read, call someone or take a walk when im on a break at work.

I would highly recommend this product (remember, still only 6 days in!) but caution taking one every single time you feel a craving. it really does take the craving away because you are giving your body the nicotine it wants, but if you do that every time in my oppinion its not making progress. the point is to get rid of the rituals of smoking. its still a fight.

Update October 30 2010: 27 days in

I am still smoke free. i have had 2 occasions that i did smoke. one 8 days in and the other 14 days in. the first 6 days were really easy. i didnt feel many temptations the lozenges then, they were really doing their job. of course they say stay away from temptation, but i cant be secluded for weeks! my boyfriend still smokes and that has been the hardest part. when he goes out to have a cig it really made me crave. I now feel the past week i have gained control again and i have really cut back on the amount of lozenges used. i still have about 6 lozenges from my first purchase of 72ct box. i have been taking usually 1/4 of a lozenge 2-6 times a day.

i thought i would be completely done using the lozenges by now, but it takes time. i cant expect myself to drop a decade habit in a week. well maybe with hypnotherapy which ive heard works too!

good luck, i still recommend this product and stand behind the 4 stars. oh and the nicorette website has helped with tracking my temptations it also tells you how long youve been smoke free, how much you've saved, etc. its free and nice to track your progress.

Product Review: So I'm not the only one who can't quit commit!
Summary: 4 Stars

I was a heavy smoker for 32 years. I tried the patch, but was alergic to the glue. I then used the inhaler, which really got me through the bad times. I switched to commit, but like the other reviewers, I'm having a hard time giving up the commit. I still want the commit when I crave a cigarette, but don't really want a cigarette as much as the commit! Weird, huh? At least it's safer and cleaner than smoking. I think I'll finally let it go when I'm ready.

Product Review: So far so good!
Summary: 4 Stars

I have been smoking for twelve years, about a pack a day. I have tried quitting 7-8 times with no long term success. The patches make me feel horrible, the gums make my jaw ache, and the Wellbutrin caused me seizure (don't try it if you are small)!

Today I took my first Commit 4 mg Lozenges, so far it works very fast with no side effects. I only uses them when I really crave a ciggarette, and I'm detemine to really quit this time.

UPDATE - It's April, 2008, and I'm still commited to Commit. At least I'm not destroying my lungs with smoke anymore. Will try to quit Commit by the end of the month. Good luck!!

Product Review: Stop Smoking
Summary: 5 Stars

I have tried all other types of cessation products and this one has worked for me, its over 6 months without a smoke.
