Product Review: Beefcake! BEEFCAKE!

For a protein powder, this mixes surprisingly well. Not quite like Quik, but you sure don't need a blender like with most protein drinks. The best part is the taste. If stuff tastes like crap (Ovaltine for example), you won't drink it. This tastes great.
Is this just for weighlifters? No way. If you could somehow shove this down your kid's throat when he reaches for the cookies, you'd have a kid who's much less fat and slobbish. Same goes for yourself. Less Doritos, more Designer Whey, fatty.
It's the opposite of Slim-Fast. Slim-Fast is full of sugar and will make you fatter as you drink it. Designer Whey is full of protein, and has hardly any carbs. Even if you don't work out, this is a billion times better for you than whatever snack you thought you were going to have.
Now hit the bricks, lardo. I want to see some sweat.

I realize that protein powders never usually taste like anything, but this stuff is horrible! Smells like strawberry, tastes like chalk. I can put 2 whole bananas in my shake, and it still tastes bad. I normally drink one upon waking, and within 1-2 hours, I am sick to my stomach. I found that eating with my shake was the only way to avoid this. On the other hand, this powder mixes well, and it does smell good. SMELL good. I find that 3 scoops in 10 oz of milk mixes well enough, if only it would taste like something. I will go back to Labrada, at least chocolate tastes like chocolate with them. I have been drinking the Designer Whey shakes for a couple of years now. Used to be a poor breakfast eater and this product changed my ways. I prefer to use it with 1% or non-fat milk for a creamier taste. You will get high quality protein, lots of vitamins, and it's low in calories and carbs. It may have plenty of protein in it, but the Designer Whey French Vanilla flavor tastes awful. It takes a while to mix it up, because lumps form when mixed with water and they have to be manually broken up.
