I was glad to read the negative reviews - you know "misery loves company". Like the others my digital scale worked like a charm when I first received it. It continued to work well the first month. (I weigh once per week) Today, after a full week of dieting, it began showing readings of "Err" and indicated overload - would not give me anything resembling my weight. I too am unable to return - no box or packing slip- so this was an expensive lesson. Reading all the reviews it seems you either get one that's very good or a lemon. Randy

The platform with round edges is safe and comfortable to stand on. It is also an attractive addition to any bathroom décor. It is able to handle a capacity up to 330 lbs or 150 kg. Graduation is 100 g / 0.2 lb. Equipped with a high precision strain gauge sensor system. You tap it on front in the middle with your foot to auto turn on. It takes a second or two to calibrate. Auto zero resetting / auto power off with Low power / Over-load indicator. Powered by 2 lithium batteries (included), that gives extra long life.
