I take these capsules because I have pain at the base of my thumb on both hands. The pain is much better and I think the ginger is addressing the inflammation. When I stop taking the ginger my pain increases, again. It takes about 3 days before I notice a difference in pain level when I start taking the capsules again. Therefore, I always keep a stock of these capsules. I have heard only good things about the quality of New Chapter products so I feel secure.
