Unlike the previous reviewer, I don't have any garlic taste at all when I take these. I take them with meals, because I can't swallow pills w/o food and I also take as many as 4 at a time - and still NO garlic after effects. I'm using these specifically for the antibacterial and antifungal benefits of garlic - neither of which I ever seem to be able to achieve sufficiently through simply eating garlic. I was in hospital this year for a terrible infection and have been struggling with tremendous candida problems for awhile. These pills have given me the first real fighting chance I've had in a long time. Yes they're a bit spendy and I do have to take more than the recommended amount (especially if I've been out or been eating poorly), but they DO WORK - and these days that's not something one gets to say very often! For new users - don't be surprised if you find yourself feeling a bit sick after taking these for awhile - especially if using in large dosages. When candida dies, it releases a lot of junk that can trigger everything from cold-like symptoms to nausea. I personally use HealthForce Nutritionals ZeoForce - 400 g - Powder and lots of water to help counteract these symptoms.
I've learned the hard way about which products do and don't work. I wish I'd known about these (both the garlic amd zeoforce) before I was in hospital uninsured for two weeks @ $70,000!
