Product Reviews of Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Sunblock, Body Mist SPF 30 5 oz (141.5 g)

Product Review: killer product
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought it for my irish skin that was about to spend two weeks in St. John and it was perfect. Went on like a dream, and let me get a nice tan instead of a hidous burn. And it smelled great, too.

Product Review: Great product
Summary: 5 Stars

Very effective sunscreen with a truly no-mess application. In my opinion you'll definitely want to apply it in a well ventilated area--the fumes seem a bit strong if you were to apply it in a small bathroom, for example. Once it's actually on, the smell is pleasant and mild.

Product Review: Best of all the spray sunscreens
Summary: 5 Stars

This is by far the best spray sunscreen out there. It applies in a fine mist: no gloppy, uneven messes, and it's hands free (no rubbing in). I recently bought a convertible car so I needed something that I could also spray on my ears and neck without making my hair greasy. The scent is mild and pleasant not a chemical smell. You'll like this product.

Product Review: Good quality sunscreen
Summary: 5 Stars

I've tried the Neutragena sunscreen, Coppertone Sport spray sunscreen, and the generic Rite Aid pump sunscreen. I like Neutragena's the best because the spray is controlled, the smell isn't too strong, and I like the cooling sensation when applied. The only negatives are that it does still smell (I highly recommend applying it outdoors) and it recommends applying at least 15 minutes before going outside.

The Coppertone sport sprayed all over the place and had a very strong smell. Because the spray was not well controlled, it didn't last long at all. It only lasted about a week of applying it every day, while the Neutragena has lasted much longer. The Rite Aid pump spray is good too because it's easy to control the amount of sunscreen that comes out, but it has to be upright to spray, so it can be a little hard to apply.

Overall the Neutrogena sunblock is very good. I found it at Target for just $8-9 though - much cheaper than on Amazon!

Product Review: Not for sensitive skin or fragrance-sensitive people
Summary: 1 Stars

I disagree with the comment that this spray does not have a strong smell. It's not quite perfume, but compared to some "traditional" sunscreen lotions, it has a very strong floral scent.

Scent aside, this product made me break out in hives everywhere that I used it (arms, neck, shoulders, back). Obviously, I used the product only once, and then gave the remainder to a friend.

I like other Neutrogena products, including some of their other "spray" (though non-aerosol) products like the Sunless Tanning Spray, but I would strongly *not* recommend this product to anyone with 1) chemical/fragrance sentitivities or allergies (or with family/friends with such sensitivities) or 2) sensitive skin.
