Product Reviews of NeilMed NasaFlo Unbreakable Neti Pot with 50 Premixed PacketsProduct Review: Neti Pot is worth the purchase Summary: 5 Stars
I saw the Neti Pot's online and read reviews but wanted to see the effects on my own. I have felt a difference. It is very easy to use. I would definitely recommend this product. It's great for allergy sufferers.
Product Review: Neti pot Summary: 5 Stars
I got this for my son-in-law who has terrible allergies and he says he can tell the difference and my daughter says it has really helped with his snoring.
Product Review: Neti pot by NeilMed Summary: 5 Stars
Although the blue color is a bit off-putting (I would prefer something in a more neutral tone), the light weight plastic is a plus for easy handling. It's also easy to sense the water temperature through the plastic without having to dip my finger into the water like for the porcelain version. The shape of the spout was comfortable and effectively prevented leakage via the nostril. The package included a coupon for a free squeeze bottle; it arrived a few weeks after I mailed the coupon. I liked the product so much that I ordered one for my best friend; the inclusion of the 50 packets of salt with the pot make it a convenient introduction to using a Neti pot.
Product Review: Not great, not terrible. Should be cheaper. Summary: 3 Stars
Cheapo small plastic teapot. Pretty overpriced for what it is, even with 50 tiny little premixed packets of salt & baking soda.
Works okay, but not fantastic. The plastic endpiece that goes in your nostril is not especially comfortable, getting it sealed so it goes through the sinuses and not all over the place is challenging, and you are likely to scratch your nostril a bit with the seam on the plastic.
Maybe I have oversized sinuses, but the 8oz size seems too small, both to have enough water to clear things out, as well as to create enough water pressure to get things flowing and clear out any blockages. It seems like if you have medium to heavy congestion, this thing doesn't really work. And if it can't clear congestion, then what's the use?
All in all it is better than nothing, when it manages to clear out your sinuses it's a great feeling, but if I had this to do over, I'd have gotten a different product. In searching for better instructions and demonstrations to try and get this thing to work as well as I felt it should (based on so many people raving about this thing changing their lives) I came upon different styles of nasal irrigation. I think now I'd go for the more squeeze bottle type, that you don't have to have your head and neck at a ridiculous angle, and since you squeeze, you create actual water pressure. Seems like one of those would be much more effective.
If this item had been under ten bucks I wouldn't regret the purchase. But it was, and I do.
Product Review: Not sure Summary: 3 Stars
I really want this product to work. So far I am not sure. I am slowly trying warmer water hoping it will help dissolve what is in my nasal passages better. I can tolerate the feeling quite well, every once in a while I get the feeling that I went underwater while swimming and had water coming in. Then I just stop it for a minute. It does not seem to be helping much. I'm wondering if I need to do this on a daily basis to get some benefit? Also hoping the warmer water does a better job at dissolving the mucus better. So, maybe I'll add an addendum to this review as time goes on. I do have my fingers crossed, I seem to be developing more sinus problems as I get older :(
