Product Review: Great for the common cold

I have been sick for a few days, and the Neti Pot is the only thing I have purchased -- no cold medicine at all.
This makes me feel much better than cold meds do, considering the funky feeling they sometimes give you. I have used it twice a day, and my congestion is hardly bothering me. I've been able to still go to work with just a scratchy throat.
Also, this is the first time I have had a cold and not lost my ability to taste around day 3 or 4. You know what I mean, when you get so congested that you cannot smell or taste a thing.
Awkward the first time: yes.
Totally therapeutic every subsequent time: yes.

Im not sure what some are talking about ... this thing closes tight and doesnt cut my nose.... I havent noticed any sharp ends. It works perfectly and its much better than ceramic since it cant break.Product Review: Great relief for chronic sinus sufferers

I bought this originally for a seasonal allergy problem. It was uncomfortable to use at first, but now that I have a little more practice I have no problem at all. Before taking medication for painful sinuses, I tried this first. It worked! No more sinus pain or runny nose/clogged nose problems.Product Review: I almost cut my nostril!!!!

The pot is made of plastic, obviously molded. Not a big deal, but they left a rough edge on the part that goes in your nose (the spout)!!! I scratched the inside of my nose a little bit, and feel lucky that it wasn't worse. Using the neti pot has helped my allergies a lot.
I ended up taking a nailfile to it to smooth it out and it worked. Thank goodness, because I wasn't about to send it back, since the shipping costs were MORE than the actual product. Ridiculous when you realize that it's plastic and LIGHT. It couldn't have cost more than $3 to ship, yet for some reason it was more like $13. This is the ripoff part of shopping Amazon.
