Product Reviews of NeilMed NasaFlo Unbreakable Neti Pot with 50 Premixed PacketsProduct Review: First Neti Pot Summary: 5 Stars
I just got this and used it for the first time. I was surprised that the NetiPot I received was actually blue and plastic. I had thought I was getting a ceramic one. But, I have used it once so far and I actually think the plastic is a good thing because it's lightweight while you're holding it up in the air during use. It also has a lid w/ a hole which helps control flow amount.
The packets that came with it seem fine, but I'll probably just mix my own salt in after I run out. Would definitely order this one again in the future!
Also, for those of you who can't decide whether you will be able to do this, will like it, etc. I thought $12 wasn't a bad trial rate, especially since NeilMed has a satisfaction guarantee for 90 days. And, I think you'll be surprised at how pleasant it feels when you get the water temp right!
Product Review: First Timer Experience and Saline Solution Recipes Summary: 4 Stars
I got this version of the Neti Pot too. There seems to be tons of options for materials, shapes and sizes. This one seems to combine the best features. I have been interested in Neti Pots since I saw a character on Six Feet Under demonstrate it years ago. I've been plagued by dry nose mucus for a long time. To the point where I'd do steam tents over hot water to get relief from the discomfort. No amount of nose blowing helped.
When I did first nostril, the first time, water hardly dripped out and it took forever to do the whole 8 oz. I had a very productive tissue session then went to the second nostril. The water flowed right out like the pictures and video on the site. I suppose I was really clogged and didn't know it. I felt very clean and clear afterwards. No nose drips later as some have mentioned.
I love the light weightness and the color. The Neti Pot held the water temperature pretty well.

Product Review: Good product with Ok results Summary: 3 Stars
This is a good product. It is easy to use and very little uncomfortable (almost no pressure on your ears). If you are looking for a cleaning device for your nose, this is the one. Now, it won't help you that much if you have a severe congestion. This product does its job using gravity and does not have any pressure at all, so it won't really clean well your nose if you have heavy crust (narly!) inside.
This NetiPot has giving me a soothing feeling after I used it (using the pre-mixed packets), but it hasn't done much for my congestion, nor for my sinus symptons, so I would say it is a good product but in my case the results are just ok.
Giving my sinus condition, I truly was expecting more from this product. I am now buying the Sinus Cleansing System from NasaFlo, a much stronger device the uses pressure instead of gravity to push the water through your nasal conducts.
Product Review: Great Product! Summary: 5 Stars
I was skeptical at first but at this price I decided to give it a try. Boy, what a difference! Within the first 3 days, I was breathing easier and blowing my nose a great deal less than ever before. I live in the South and the spring pollens always gives me problems. Since using the Neti Pot, I have not taken any allergy medications and have not had to blow my nose at work once in 2 months (springtime to boot)! You've got to give this a try. It really will make a difference!
Product Review: Great for allergies Summary: 5 Stars
After suffering a full month sniffling through my plugged and runny nose, I went to the doctor and found out I have developed a pollen allergy. Doc prescribed a nasal spray and generic Claritin (Loratadine), plus flushing my sinuses twice daily with a Neti pot to clear out any allergens that have lodged themselves up there.
The first few days I tried this regimen, my sinuses were so inflamed that I couldn't even get the water to run through them. Even once I got it working, I didn't realize what a difference it was making until I skipped a night. Realized my mistake about four hours after bedtime, when I woke up in a sneezing fit. Fortunately, I was able to use the Neti pot and got back to sleep with no problems. Just in general, my sinuses feel cleaner and I'm breathing better than ever.
I chose this particular pot simply because it came with premixed packets of solution, but I've also found that the design works well for me. The lid screws shut (snap it on first) so that it's easy to mix the solution, and the spout is about the right size. The water has to be the right temp - not too hot OR too cold - but otherwise the process seems fairly foolproof. You get the hang of it after a couple tries. For under twenty bucks, it's an indispensable compliment to other nasal allergy treatments!
