Product Review: Easy to use and works well for me

Out of the blue, I had an episode of neck pain for several months in mid-2010. An MRI revealed multilevel cervical spondylosis with mild central spinal stenosis C5-C6, and possible impingement of the exiting C5 and C6 nerve roots bilaterally.
I began several months of physical therapy, including traction at the therapist's office. My therapist recommended several exercises and stretches that I continue to do at home. He also recommended that I continue neck traction at home. I bought the Neckpro device about 6 months ago, in September 2010. At first, I used it twice a day for several weeks. Then, as my pain gradually receded, I have since used it 3 or 4 times a week, and I will continue to use it.
I am mostly pain-free now. I think the Neckpro traction, together with the other physical therapy, contributed to this improvement.

My neck is a pain in the neck sometimes so I bought this device. It works well and it has saved me a few trips to the chiropractor. Considering how much healthcare costs, you are not really taken much of a gamble on trying out this device. Of course, most common neck pain is just caused from bad posture and that is the real issue for over 90% of people. So if you have neck pain, research how to correct your posture but I would still recommend this device for those who are in pain.Product Review: Good Product

My wife uses this every day. It does squish your face a bit, so it is helpful to put something between the straps to keep them spread apart. Otherwise it works fine.Product Review: Good adjunct

This appliance is a good addition to my chiropractic treatments and acupressure massages. My spine needs manipulation to get it back in alignment through chiropractic . The chiropractic does not address the long term muscle spasms which have been helped by the Neckpro Traction Device and my acupressure massages. One caution is that one does not want to overstretch the ligaments, so judicious use of this device is important.Product Review: Good device with modification

This device will definitely relieve neck pain due to disc degeneration. I have two inversion tables, but they don't work on the neck area as this device does. (The head just isn't heavy enough, and an inversion table eventually kills your feet). The door bracket is a bad idea., Most residential doors will not withstand the leveraged force of the furnished bracket. I put a screw eye in the ceiling above the couch so I may watch TV while using it.

On the minus side, the writer that alludes to it being a "head crusher" is correct. I fashioned an aluminum arch which spreads the device away from the ears and sides of the face. I also use a football type teeth guard as ones teeth are really jammed together. I question if someone wearing dentures might have a problem. Fortunately, I'm not there yet. With the foregoing changes I can really stretch my neck for 30 minutes or so.

With the foregoing changes and conditions, I can heartily endorse this product. Frankly, as immediately removed from the box with the mickey-mouse door bracket and lack of some kind of spreader, I'd give it about 2 or 3 stars.
