Customer Reviews of Neckpro Cervical Traction Device - Adjustable Door Bracket Model - Cervical TractionCustomer Review: A Real Pain In The Neck Summary: 2 Stars
Note, the product is as was specified. No problems with the seller; shipped immediately. Thank you.
But the product itself is a real pain in the neck or, should I say, the head. The structural manufacturing is lacking: it needs substantial padding around the temple area of the head and on the chin. The chin strap needs to be re-angled and "pocketed" to hold the chin comfortably. Also, the tilt of the head, under traction, pulls more on the chin than on the back of the head. This does little to release cervical tension and more to grind your molars into a need for a dentist visit. I suggest wearing a rubber-like/silicone teeth guard like those for boxers, if you intend to use this device.
Moreover, you either need a partner to help you in and out of the device or you need a floor length mirror to make sure you're putting it on and off correctly. There is a "release" to remove it once on. The problem with that is the release is very sudden. If you don't move your body into the direction of the release first, you could injure yourself.
The redeeming quality is that it's only fifty-ish bucks. If you do use it, it's a value compared to the better traction devices that fill much of a room and cost upwards of many hundreds to thousands of dollars.
Description of Neckpro Cervical Traction Device - Adjustable Door Bracket Model - Cervical TractionNeckpro Cervical Traction Device is a home cervical traction device. The Cervical Traction Device may be used for the relief of neck pain associated with cervical disc herniation, spondylosis, osteoarthritis, cervical radiculopathy, neck strain, pinched nerve in upper spine with associated pain radiating down upper extremities, tension and/or tightness (muscle spasm) in muscles of the upper back, shoulders and neck, fibromyalgia, whiplash, insomnia and tension headaches associated with tension in the aforementioned musculature. Conventional home overdoor neck traction systems utilize a bag of water and patient trial and error determining the appropriate amount of traction poundage. The Neckpro Cervical Traction Device eliminates this old process by coupling a computer designed precision-made compression spring with a unique ratcheting device that delivers a more precise amount of cervical traction tension. Each click of the ratchet audibly signals an increase in the tension being applied. This not only allows traction to be delivered in a progressive format similar to what they experience in a clinical setting, but the audible click allows the patient to monitor and keep track of the settings that provide a positive outcome. The specially designed head halter for the home traction device is easy to apply and comfortable even under high levels of cervical traction tension. The Neckpro Overdoor Cervical Traction Device includes Neckpro compression spring & racket assembly, head halter and Adjustable Overdoor bracket Fits doors up to 1 1/2" to 1.75" in thickness.
