I had caught the flu and was having trouble shaking it off. So I felt I needed some immune system support. My brother who owns a health food store in Vermont suggested I get some elder berry. I did an Internet Search and the Sambucus elder berry felt to be more natural than others I found. Sambucus is concentrated and is best diluted. Most of the time I took it in warm water as directed 3 times a day. There were times when I didn't have time to heat the water and simply took a teaspoon of it straight. It works either way. In a few days I definitely felt better. I like the taste, too.

Sambucus nigra L. is the Latin name for Black Elder. The dark blue/black berries of this plant have many naturally-occurring nutritional substances such as Rutin, Quercetin (flavonoids) and Anthocyanins.
