Product Review: Why is Amazon's price on this so high?

I take 8 of these capsules twice a day. They are INCREDIBLE at regulating my system: Never too soft, never too hard, and regular as clockwork. You genuinely don't know how much you're missing if you're not perfectly regular, and with this product -- absolutely inert, just a clay-like material that expands with liquid to make your poops the perfect consistency -- there's no reason not to be.
However, Amazon.com's price on this -- even with Prime (effectively free) shipping -- is way out of line. Please, Amazon.com, get with the program so I can buy this directly from you rather than from some other vendor through you. (Even with their shipping charges, they're cheaper.)

First of all, take this with water, you do not want to have the capsule break in your throat and cough up psyllium fiber which will suck all the water from your sinus and cause immense pain for over an hour.
Other than that it seems to be working most of the time if taken regularly and as instructed.
Taken erratically it doesn't work so well.

These capsules work as advertised, calming my touchy digestive track. You do have to take 6 capsules to get 3 grams of fiber, so you will be popping a lot of capsules if you're like me and need a higher dosage to combat both IBS symptoms and high cholesterol. These capsules should not be taken within 2 hours of consuming any prescription medication, as the fiber can reduce their efficacy. These psyllium husk capsules work just as well as any of the name brands, but at a much more reasonable price...Product Review: you wanna go? well, do ya? Then buy the product.

PS. Someone commented that they didn't work at 1-2 capsules per day. Well, that's because the recommended daily dose (provided your MD says that's the recommended daily dose, of course) for those who need to take it is 5-6 caps, 3 times a day. Do that (with your MD's permission, of course) and you'll be fine (provided your MD says you're fine)*

Update: I just discovered psyllium husk powder and....oh....my....geez. You take a tablespoon and mix WELL with a glass of water, drink within 30 seconds and 12 hours later- like clockwork. Love it. If you don't mind the taste of wood for those 30 seconds and are happy to exchange that for the feeling of colon happiness, then buy that stuff instead. Unless you're MD told you not to buy it. I don't have an MD, so I do what I want and I wants me some psyllium!
