Was originally prescribed this for dermatillomania after it showed success in studies for trichotillomania. IT WORKS. After years of scratching at my skin and making myself bleed and not letting scabs heal, for the first time in my life, I am scab free. This has been such a debilitating problem since I can remember and suddenly I am free of it--simply unbelievable. I've tried other NAC brands, but these are coated so they dont smell/taste weird and are smaller (MUCH smaller) than the others, too. I personally have seen no side effects.
