Customer Review: Does what it does: purple is more like dark blue though

I'm just coming off of crutches, partial weight bearing in a walking cast after foot surgery. Getting the hang of a cane and this is my first one; it's very light weight. grip is a very dense foam that seems to conform to my weight on it- I'm going to put a gel wrap over it, eventually, I can tell it's going to be as abrasive and hard as my crutch handles. The crutch handles disintegrated where rubbed and gave me callouses and a very painful grip. I like the look of it, though. It's a nice shiny piece of hardware, a good step up from the medical warehouse walker and crutches the hospital gave me. The hard rubber tip worries me a little, call me paranoid but I think a slightly softer rubber would give better grip, and a little flex would prevent a slide-out accident. Overall it's well worth the very low price here.
