Oreganol P73 is a bit on the pricey side, but we've found it to be very effective at fighting certain infections. I painted it on my daughter's throat with a long cotton swab when she had a bad sore throat. After two applications it was completely gone. I started to get the same sore throat from her which quickly turned into tonsillitis. I painted Oreganol P73 on my swollen red tonsils and by the next day it was completely gone. Usually with antibiotics it takes a week to get over tonsillitis. My wife has found that a little used on a cold sore can make it disappear in just two days. My chiropractor told me to try oregano oil when I went in for an appointment with a cold. Most winter's I get cold after cold, almost non-stop. Now, as soon as I feel a scratchy throat or if I've been around someone who has been sick, I take some. The next day I wake up feeling fine. It doesn't taste good, but worth it to not be sick. I think the idea of putting it in a vaporizor is great. I will try that with my kids. Many homeopathic treatments of the past were used by peoples of ancient times. The Native Americans used roots, herbs, and many natural substances to help cure and make well their problems and illnesses.
So when my Nutritionist recommended Oil Of Oregano for a resistant medical problem, I said I would think about it. That is until I saw the price. $25.00 for .45 ozs just seemed very high. But a friend of mine is a Chiropractic Physician and recommended it and he went out and bought some just to let me start using it. I was quickly sold.
I started with his recommended dosage, a drop under the tongue as long as you can stand it, and then washed down with a glass of 100% fruit juice (no sugar added) with a second drop diluted in the juice. I continued on that course for several weeks. I also rubbed the Oregano on my toes which, as a result of all the antibiotics I've had over a lifetime (which are made from fungi), had that bad yellowed fungus under the nails. In a matter of days the toe nails started to clear up and now several weeks later, my toes are fungus free.
I normally get colds and flu for weeks on end, sometimes a month or more. After being on the Oil of Oregano for a few weeks, I came down with an extremely bad head cold. I had a high fever and all the symptoms, cough, stopped up sinuses, and with the feeling that it was going to turn into bronchitis. But I had been on the Oregano for several weeks and my Chiropractor told me to double up on it. I did and the fever broke in less than two days and the cold was gone in about three days, instead of three weeks or more.
I don't know what your experience will be. Some report no or little benefit. I guess it's just genetics. But for me, it was well worth the price for the wonderful natural benefits of an herb made by God, rather than chemicals made in a laboratory from fungi.
All I can recommend to you is to try it over a period of time. Yes, it tastes pretty strong and even bad. But so did a lot of things I took when I was young and they always seemed to help. Do your research and give it a try. You may be pleasantly surprised at the results!

I'd been using a similar product from a different manufacturer only because we can't get the P73 product where I'm from. They claimed that their product was "unconditionally guaranteed"...whatever that means. I had to wait till my cousin brought me this product (to Nairobi, Kenya) and I've been using it for about a month now. The difference between the two products is night and day. The P73 Oil of Oregano is...I don't know if there's a word to truly describe it's PHENOMENAL-NESS. There, I made up a word!
I've been using it for a nail fungas problem that conventional medicine has been unable to treat. With the Oil of Oregano I can see and feel (by touch) that there is already progress. From what I'd read about oil of Oregano I imagined it as a panacea for a variety of ailments, but after using it I'm a believer. Other manufacturers talk about a Carvacrol content higher than 73 which I guess is supposed to be more potent hence better for you. I can only vouch for this product and I AM SOLD!!!
My daughter was getting a rash, I made a light mixture of this oil and some olive oil and applied it twice a day. Within a week the rash was gone...never to be seen again. It's also an incredible immune booster! Even if I'm around people who have a full blown cold I never pick it up...I don't even feel the symptoms!!!
Long story short, this product works. Don't take my word for it, try it. You won't be disappointed.

Oreganol has helped to avoid several trips to the dentist and unnecessary anti-biotic prescriptions. Healing tooth infections is only one of its many uses. This is a great product- I always have it on hand.
