Customer Review: Great for Low-Vision Cooks

My husband has very low vision but also loves to cook. This scale is perfect for both of us. It could be sturdier--we're on our second one since the software went kaput on the first after five years--but if handled with care it has a reasonable lifespan.
It's accurate to one-tenth of an ounce and allows you to cancel out the weight of the workbowl, either the large clear bowl it comes with, or the one you're using. It's small, simple to store and the batteries last a long time, especially considering the voice announcements.
A pleasant female voice tells you when the scale is ready, announces the weight and after a short idle time announces that "she" is shutting down. We don't use it every day, but can't really remember how we got along without this handy little scale
