This ointment was prescribed for our dog by her Vet for her degenerative Corneal endothelial dystrophy. We go through a lot of this ointment and I found another brand cheaper on the internet, supposedly the same sodium-chloride 5% solution. During the time when I was using this ointment her disease seemed to progress and we experienced 2 ulcers within a few months. After doing some research, I found others who had the same results. After switching back to Muro the eyes have stabalized again and her ulcers have cleared. If this is prescribed, do not be fooled, all brands are not the same. I will never buy anything else but this Muro brand again.

SKU NUMBER: 199174. The Mininimum EXP date on product: 1Year. DESCRIPTION: Muro 128 Sterile Ophthalmic 5% Ointment,Twin Pack 0.25 Oz (7 G). MANUFACTURER:BAUSCH & LOMB. INDICATIONS:Temporary relief of corneal edema.For ophthalmic use.INGREDIENTS:Active Ingredients: Sodium Chloride (5%).Inactive Ingredients: Lanolin,Mineral Oil, Purified Water, White Petrolatum. DIRECTIONS:1.Pull down the lower lid of the affected eye. 2.Apply a small amount (1/4 inch) of ointment to the inside of eyelid. 3.Apply every 3 to 4 hours or as directed by a doctor. WARNINGS:Do not use if cap and neckring are not intact and imprinted seal on box is broken or missing.it may cause temporary burning and irritation.Do not touch tip of container to any surface to avoid contamination.Replace cap after use.Stop use and ask a doctor if condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours.you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye.Keep out of reach of children.If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.Eye Drops, Lubricants & Washes
