After a severe sprain, I had to get back to a commute with quite a bit of walking and stairs. This brace holds my ankle firmly without any stress points or blister problems, easy to get in and out of quickly. Three comments to be aware of potential issues, I would have gotten one size larger than what was indicated for my shoe size, I have to say getting into shoes is more difficult than with less rigid braces and I had to buy shoes to accommodate the brace but it has been an excellent solution and I wear it every workday without fail, finally, I had to cut a sock to cover the velcro for clothing protection, it catches on many types of fabrics, hems and for me, ruining pantyhose.

Hg80® Rigid Ankle Brace. The Hg80 Rigid Ankle Brace provides superior protection and helps support weak or injured ankles. This patented brace helps prevent inversion/eversion sprains. This unique open-back sleeve with convenient step-in design increases comfort, control and makes it easy to put on. Top and cross straps are fully adjustable to lock brace in position. Cross strap provides additional lateral support as well as support across the talar joint. Rigid shells and pre-inflated Aircast® Aircells cushion the brace and form superior top-to-bottom medial-lateral support to help prevent injury or reinjury.
