When I purchased this product last week, I did a search for MoonCup UK on Amazon. "MoonCup by MoonCup" came up, so I ordered one. However, when I received the cup I found that it was a Keeper Mooncup -- a U.S. product that copied MoonCup UK's name.
The reason this bothers me is the Keeper company could have named their product anything to establish a unique brand identity for their clear silicon menstrual cup. But instead, they chose to capitalize on the established reputation of their UK competitor. I find it ethically wrong, and because of it, I deliberately chose NOT to purchase the Keeper brand. It is very suspect that Keeper U.S. came up in a specific search for the UK brand, and that they hid the Keeper name in the product description. If it is there, it is not obvious information. Therefore, I got tricked into buying a product from a company I had chosen to boycott.
The product itself is okay. But if you have a choice, choose a company that does business honestly. Choose either Diva or a product from an auction website. Finally, to choose the right size/style for you, check out forums online that discuss all the brands in detail, such as LiveJournal's menstrual cup community. Be informed.
I would like to include that my review does not reflect on the Home Grown Baby Store. They processed my order quickly and I have no complaints with them.
