I've used Metamucil for years and was pleasantly surprised when the Berry and Pink Lemonade flavors came out. Both new flavors are fine, although I prefer the Pink Lemonade. The Berry is good, but seems to leave a slight after taste that quickly goes away. I think the Orange flavor is still the best. This is by far the best tasting and effective product I have tried. I have tried the Metamucil caplets and other flavors. I have a very hard time wanting to drink the other flavors or have to take a fist full of pills to equal the amount I want to take (3 heaping Tsp daily). It tastes like fruit punch and is very smooth, if enough water is used and isn't left to sit.
To address the review about becoming thick. This is a fiber and will swell/expand the longer it is left to soak. That is part of the reason this fills you up and helps limit your appetite. If left for a few minutes it will become like a runny jello. The fix for that is to mix and drink and not let it set. If mixed properly, it does taste like a smooth fruit punch and I have no issues drinking it. I would say even look forward to drinking it.
This product is difficult to find in my area and I wont buy the others. Glad I can get it through Amazon.
