Product Review: Strange to see all these great reviews on these horrible cookies

I bought these cookies as a cheap way to replace GNU bars which appeared to be more expensive but taste pretty good. Having read the positive reviews and being familiar with the Metamucil brand, I thought I would give them a try. First off, these cookies are really dense and are more like biting into a piece of wood than a cookie. Secondly, they have a greasy feel and a strange unpleasant flavor and odor that seems to have nothing to do with "apple crisp." Worse yet, the chewed cookies start to clump around the outer gums of your teeth and, unless you remove the clump with your fingers, you will have it sitting there most of the day. Pretty gross eh? Unfortunately for me I bought the package of three 12-packet wafers which have ended up as sample cookies for a number of my friends. They immediately had the same reaction as I did when they tried the cookies. Yes, they are still friends of my mine luckily. Sometimes I wonder whether a number of these great reviews were written by the people who actually work at the Metamucil plant.
Metamucil cookies contain only about 5g of fiber and have almost as many calories as the Gnu foods flavor and fiber bar which has 12g of fiber per bar. Gnu has about 50% of your daily fiber requirement in its bar. On the basis of fiber content the Gnu bar is not that expensive after all when compared to these cookies. Unlike this awful tasting Metamucil product, the Gnu bar is not only edible, but actually tastes pretty good.

I got these after my pregnancy when you need extra fiber and I wasn't quite getting enough. I didn't like the powder so when I saw it at the store I decided to give it a try. I have one packet (2 wafers) every day with tea in the afternoon and since the day I had them I started getting regular again. They don't taste bad at all. You do need to have them with liquid though as they are dry and can cause choking (package instructions). Get them here the 3 pack costs less than 2 packs at the Walmart!Product Review: Yeah !!!!!

If any of you have had your gallbladder removed you know what I am talking about. You know where every restrooms is in your city.But now that I have started eating these wonderful wafers 3 times a day I no longer have to worry. I love them, they taste very good and the bonus is I am losing weight just by adding the extra fiber to my diet!!!!!! Thanks Amazon for making it so easy having them shipped to my home every month and Metamucil for making them.Product Review: just the ticket for easy fiber

My Dr. recommended I try these for a good fiber supplement. They work for me and taste good too.
