Product Reviews of Met-Rx Big 100 Meal Replacement Bar, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, 3.52-Ounce Bars (Pack of 12)Product Review: No idea yet... Summary: 5 Stars
i just started to use this. so i have yet to formulate an opinion. check back soon!
Product Review: Not bad Summary: 4 Stars
Although they do not taste as good as Cliff Bars, considering the amount of Protein in it, it tastes pretty good. The Chocolate Chip Cookie dough is very good. I am not able to make the Met RX drinks, so the bars come in handy.
Product Review: Overall, pretty good Summary: 5 Stars
As far as protein bars and meal replacement bars go, this is one of the better options I've tried. The cookie dough consistency is a nice change from the traditional protein bar dryness. The calorie count is high enough to make the bar a true meal replacement. It has enough protein for all but the most exacting weightlifter with a reasonable amount of fat (6 grams) for a replacement bar. It has more carbohydrates than I care for (50 grams) but that is a small complaint. All in all, taste, nutrient content and carriability are well worth the money spent on this item.
Product Review: Tastes like cookie dough Summary: 5 Stars
Many protein bars have a chemical aftertaste; these do not. The biggest drawback is that they become stickier when warm, so it can be a bit of a mess if you've had them in your backpack all day.
Product Review: The Best Overall Protein Bar Summary: 5 Stars
This Review is for the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Flavor.
I have tried a lot of Protein /Meal replacement bars and all things considered this is the best one.
- The first time you try any of this style Met-Rx bars, you will think of cardboard.
After a while though the taste is actually quite pleasant, and if you drink 20oz of
fluids or so with it, it will not leave you hungry.
- Protein, Carb, and Fat content are all pretty reasonable, and the protein comes from
a variety of non-soy sources. The best tasting protein bar I have found is actually
Met-Rx's Super Cookie Crunch, but the fat content is much higher, and it is soy based.
Still, I like to have one for a treat now and then.
- Met-Rx's Peanut Butter Cookie Dough and Chocolate Chip Graham Cracker are a similar style,
but I found this to be the best tasting of the three
- Texture is good, you won't wear your jaw out trying to chew this.
- No protein bars are cheap, but the price is pretty good on Amazon, and you can find them
for about 5 bucks more in the wild.
