Product Review: Great product but it could be cheaper

I recently took the plunge and made the switch to reusable pads. These Glad Rags work well and are very well made. I specifically like the way the wings wrap around your undies and snap in place. I also like the multiple inserts provided because they allow you to choose how thick the pad needs to be. I've been sincerely satisfied with the product itself, but even at the price they are here on Amazon, I still believe they are more expensive than they should be (hence, three stars instead of five).
When I looked at the pads I recieved, even as well made as they are, I quickly realized it wouldn't be hard to make them and felt a little ripped off at the price I'd paid. I later found several websites that offer patterns and ideas for sewing your own at a fraction of the cost. So if you are looking to purchase these and you have even the most beginner's skill in sewing, do a little online research and ask yourself if it might be better to make them yourself. You could spend $100 or more to purchase enough of these pads to last a single period versus $10-$25 in materials to make them.

I bought these because I am about 6 months pregnant and am starting to "leak" when I sneeze, cough, laugh...you get the idea :) I was using regular, disposable pantie liners but felt really bad about constantly throwing them in the garbage. Then a friend recommended Gladrags for postpartum because I plan to use cloth diapers as well. I figured why not start now??!! I am SO PLEASED with this product!!! It is soft, stays pretty much where you put it, is super comfy to wear (even on a spin bike!!) and the best part is that you just toss it in with your regular laundry!! I just got one box as a "trial" but I will be getting the full set of the liners, regular pads and overnight pads for after my baby comes! I am also really happy to support a small US company that maintains it's green values :)Product Review: Lasts for years!

I bought these pads 8+ years ago and they are still in great condition. When I first tried them, I did not like rinsing the pads out in the sink before placing them in the hamper, so I switched back to the disposable pads. After 1 day of wearing a disposable pad again, I realized how much more comfortable the soft cotton pads were and I decided it was worth the inconvenience of rinsing.
They are super-absorbent (you can go all day without having to change your pad) and last for years! Great combination of eco-friendly, cost-savings and comfort!

I don't know if I would use these pads by themselves, but they are great for what I need them for. I use the Diva Cup on heavy days, and these for when I'm spotting. When I was on Depo and spotting for 6 months straight, these things saved my life. They are much more comfortable that store bought pads. When I'm done with one, I put it into a bucket of water and a little vinegar, which I change every day, then at the end of my period I throw them in the wash.Product Review: Not menstrual pads---they are panty-liners

I was sorely disappointed when I received my $25 purchase in the mail--I thought they were actually day pads, but they were panty-liners, a 3-pack, which I can get at my local store for significantly less. I tried to return them but was unable to contact the distributor--so, beware!
