My 85 yo Dad lives with me. He is in great health except for his short term memory. I gave this to him for a Christmas gift (for me too-I was tired of him always asking me what day it was over and over). He loves it. He's so proud of it he plays the voice all the time to show it off to total strangers. The watch has a clear announcement of either the time with am or pm OR the day,date,and year. Handsome understated styling. Quality construction. For someone who has everything, he says this is the best gift he has gotten. Great for sight or memory impaired. Or for use in the dark. I bought this watch about a year ago and it has worked very well, I'd recommend it for anyone who wants really accurate time. I do have some reservations after all this time.
-- The male voice is difficult to understand when saying things like "thirteen"
-- The hands are nearly invisible to me with very poor eyesight. I really need a watch with white hands on a black dial.
-- I lost the instructions and, now that the battery has died, I can't get instructions from the Reizen web site, which does not even mention the product.
What I really like, and the reason I bought the watch, is that it gives me really accurate time. I guess I'm obsessive, but that's the real plus for this product for me.

I bought the Reizen Atomic Talking Watch as a gift for a peron that has difficulty seeing. When I received the watch I was very pleased that it was already programed to the correct time and date. Reizen Atomic Talking Watch - White Face with Black NumbersThe watch took a while to get the correct time, but after a day near a window it worked great. The sound quality is a little hard for someone without their hearing aid on to understand, but it is easy to understand otherwise. So far it is working great. The atomic setting is the best way for someone that can not see to keep up with the changes in daylight savings time. I would buy this product again, but with a female voice.
