I don't see very well, but the hands on this watch are totally invisible -- to my 20/20 husband even! It's nice that it will say the date and time. It's nice that it's atomic. My hand and arm regularly press the buttons causing it to talk when I don't want it to. When I would like to just glance and get a vague idea, the hands are nowhere to be seen. To say that this watch is a great disappointment is a REAL understatement. I had the sports version of the watch of this brand and I loved it. I have reorded it to replace this white face with white hands watch whose buttons press randomly when I just moved my hand running down the battery every time! Had I not had to replace the watch I loved, I wouldn't, but it was over a year and half old when it died, well past its warranty time.
I would not recommend this to anyone! I especially would not recommend it to someone who is not TOTALLY blind or cares at all about the battery length or random talking, often when it's inconvenient!

Automatically adjusts for standard and daylight savings time, and also can be adjusted for Pacific, Mountain, Central and Eastern time zones. Easy to customize alarm, hourly time announcements and more. Large 1-1/8" diameter white face with gray case and dial. Genuine leather brown band. Please note: The atomic function will not operate in Hawaii or Alaska. This item cannot communicate with the National Institute of Standards and Technology from either Hawaii or Alaska and therefore must always be set manually while in those states. For individuals who use this watch in either Hawaii or Alaska, time will not be automatically set and the calendar will not work. However, it may still be used in those two states as a regular 'manually set' watch, but the calendar will not function at all. Features: Talking function clearly announces date, time and more.
