It says what it is, and it is what it says. This brand seems to be the most competitively priced low-dose aspirin available on Amazon.Com at the moment. When you throw-in the free two-day shipping that I get for belonging to Amazon Prime and no sales tax, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to do the math. Unless you run across some sort of fantastic sale at a store that you just happen to shop at locally, you won't likely find a better deal elsewhere. Aspirin is aspirin. 500 tablets of low dose aspirin - this will last me over a year. Product seems as good as any low dose branded aspirin I see in the market.
Why 81 mg? It says that according to a study, half of a regular dose (a regular dose is 5 grains or 324 mgs) is effective to prevent cardiac problems (stroke/heart attacks) as much as 25%. Half would be 162.5 mg. Then later it was determined that half of that half would also work, which is now 81 mg.

Very simply stated, awesome value for a product available everywhere, but not at this price. Large quantity like this makes sense for the long-term user, and you won't find enteric coated aspirin for a lower price anywhere. As another reviewer stated, this one's a no-brainer. No reason to pay more for aspirin.
